The Sponsor - A - Senior Program  provides care packages to seniors ages 55 and older who are in need during the winter and summer season. No donation is too small!

How It Works:

• Donations are made to 7 Truths (online, by mail or CashApp $7Truths)

• Seniors apply or are nominated to be put into a lottery pool by calling into our office or submitting the application online (deadline for winter Dec 1 and for Spring June 1)

• Each senior who applies is screened to determine their individual need for the care package they selected (home goods, personal care, winter/summer clothing or utility bill pay assistance)

• Our lottery selection committee randomly selects one senior per $100 that has been collected through donations

• Care package recipients are notified 7 days after the application deadline

• Care packages are purchased and delivered by 7 Truths

• Winter care package recipients receive their packages the week before Christmas and spring care package recipients receive their packages by June 21.

 

Eligibility Requirements:

• Applicants must be 55+

• Applicants must live within the Metro Atlanta Area

• Must provide photo id and proof of residency

Applicants who don’t receive care packages are automatically re-entered to receive future care package

Truth Care Package contents vary in order to accommodate individual needs. Each senior’s need is determined during the screening interview. Past home good packages have included items like : cleaning supplies, slip covers, comforter sets, dishes, cookware and vacuum cleaners. Personal care packages have included: under garments, hair dryers, deodorant, lotion, dental, and hygiene items.
